  1. Click the Start button
  2. Click Programs
  3. Click Outlook Express.

    Creating a mail setting using the Internet Connection Wizard

  4. Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts

  5. Click the Mail tab
  6. Click Add then click Mail from the pop out menu

  7. In the Display name box, type the name that people will see when you send an email to them. This setting is not technical and can essentially be anything.
  8. Click Next
  9. Select I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use and in the E-mail address box, type your email address
  10. Click Next
  11. For Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server, type mail.timewarp.co.uk
  12. For Outgoing mail (SMTP) server, type mail.timewarp.co.uk
  13. Click Next
  14. In the Account name box, type your username eg: johnsmith.timewarpuk.net
  15. Type your password in the Password box
  16. Click Next
  17. In the Internet mail account name box, type your name eg: John Smith
  18. Click Next
  19. Where asked Which method do you want to use to connect to the Internet, select Connect using my phone line
  20. Click Next
  21. If you already have a Timewarp dial-up connection created, select Use an existing dial-up connection and select the name of your dial-up connection.
  22. Click Next
  23. Click Finish

    Editing an existing mail setting

  24. Clck the Tools menu, then click Accounts
  25. Click the Mail tab

  26. Select the setting you wish to edit by clicking on the name of the setting under the Account column.
  27. Click Properties

    • Mail account: give this mail account setting a meaningful name to help distinguish between it and other mail account settings you may create.
    • Name: this is where you type the name that people see when you send an email to them.
    • E-mail address: eg: johnsmith@timewarpuk.net
    • Reply address: this is only necessary if your return address is different to your E-mail address.
    • Include this account when doing a full Send and Receive - ticked

  28. Click the Servers tab

  29. Ensure the settings on this Servers tab are as follows:
    • Outgoig mail (SMTP): mail.timewarp.co.uk
    • Incoming mail (POP3): mail.timewarp.co.uk
    • Account name: eg: johnsmith.timewarpuk.net
    • Password: ********
    • Log on using Secure Password Authentication - unticked
    • My server requires authentication - unticked.

  30. Click OK
  31. Click Close
